'''Tradução''':
Maldições Lendárias
Volume VII
A Espada Ciclopemania Pt.1

Tempo e forja contam uma história...
Quando a espada, conhecida por alguns
como a “matadora de deuses”, conhecida por
todos como uma lenda além do renome
e contada para as crianças como uma
história de ninar. Mas como em muitas
coisas, às vezes mito
é fundado em fato.

Quem diria se a velha
história da origens dessa
espada são verdadeiras ou falsas?
Não eu ou você com certeza. Tudo
que sabemos é o que aconteceu quando
a espada ressurgiu, estes
muitos muitos anos mais tarde. Não
encontrada, mas mostrada e dada
pelos deuses para um virtuoso
guerreiro, por seu conhecimento
e habilidade.

Esse homem, tão
habilidoso em mágica e nas perdidas
artes da terra, entesourou
esse espada, como qualquer um faria.
Mas se na sabedoria de
saber que a espada não
seria bem preservada em seu cuidado,
ou prevendo a maldição,
ou medo da tentação do
poder, ou talvez até ganância,
ele decidiu que ele iria
renunciar seu direito sobre a
lâmina. Comuns, nobres,
vilãos, e sábios também
todos clamaram pela espada.
Pelo poder que podia trazer
ou pela fama que iria
cantar, ela foi cobiçada como
poucas coisas nesse mundo
foram.

No fim ela trouxe
para junto dois que de
outro modo seriam os mais perversos
dos inimigos. Eles agruparam
seus recursos, onde
separados nenhum deles
seria suficiente para conseguir
essa arma, juntos eles venceram
sua competição.
Ganhos mal obtidos e
pilhagem justas foram juntas
como um e mais foi emprestado,
mas por fim a recompensa foi
alta o suficiente para que o dono
concordasse em entregar a espada.

Já que nenhum dos envolvidos
sentia que os outros poderiam
ser confiáveis, até quando
juntavam seus tesouros
para comprar a espada,
eles concordaram mutuamente que
outro grupo devia combinar
a riqueza e acompanhar a
transação. Para essa tarefa
eles escolheram o mais elogiado
mercador em todas as terras. | |||
