Legenda: Após um misterioso fragmento da lua cair próximo à costa de Marapur, estranhas mudanças começam a afetar toda a região. A magia dos yukti torna-se instável, plantas sofrem mutações e as marés passam a agir de forma incomum. Cabe aos jogadores investigar a origem desses fenômenos, descobrir o que realmente caiu do céu e impedir que o poder do moonsilver seja utilizado para fins perigosos.

Método História

Os nagas de Marapur veneram a deusa da lua, Amati. Segundo a tradição, ela caiu sobre a ilha há muitos séculos e foi salva pelas estrelas, que desceram dos céus para ajudá-la a retornar ao firmamento. A lenda deu origem aos nomes Stardance Mountains e Moonfall, lembrando o local onde a deusa teria tocado o mundo.

Recentemente, uma misteriosa luz voltou a cruzar o céu de Marapur. Pouco tempo depois, os habitantes da ilha passaram a relatar estranhas alterações: os yukti deixaram de responder normalmente, algumas plantas sofreram mutações e até mesmo as marés começaram a apresentar um comportamento incomum. Determinado a descobrir a origem desses acontecimentos, você parte para investigar o misterioso fenômeno.

Ao chegar em Marapur e caminhar pela cidade pela primeira vez, a seguinte mensagem aparecerá em sua tela:

Haani: Something seems to be off here lately. Rumour has it that it has something to do with the moon. Perhaps you should talk to Saraki about it.

Jogador: Hi Saraki: Greetings, traveller. May the Moon Goddess bless you. Jogador: Moon Saraki: So, my people here in Moonfall noticed it too. It is true: Several nights ago, our watchmen saw a pale light descend in the east, like a second moon falling from the sky. ... Saraki: Since then, my people have reported strange occurrences on our islands. Our mages say that their yukti no longer respond as reliably as before. ... Saraki: Sundara may be able to tell you more about this. And the coastal nagas down in Silvertides report changes in the plants and claim that the tides are behaving unusually. ... Saraki: Tarisu, the shaman of Silvertides, may know more about this. Perhaps it is just coincidence. Perhaps not. But I prefer to have certainty. ... Saraki: Speak to Sundara here in Moonfall and to Tarisu down in Silvertides and ask them about the yukti, the tides and the changed plants. ... Saraki: Listen to what they have observed and see if there is more to these rumours than meets the eye. Find out what has happened and then return to me. We need to know what we are dealing with.

Saraki confirma que, há algumas noites, uma misteriosa luz foi vista caindo do céu a leste de Marapur. Desde então, diversos moradores passaram a relatar acontecimentos incomuns: os yukti estão instáveis, algumas plantas sofreram alterações e até mesmo as marés parecem diferentes. Como rainha de Moonfall, ela deseja descobrir se esses fatos estão realmente relacionados e pede sua ajuda para investigar o ocorrido.

Para investigar o ocorrido, será necessário reunir três evidências. As etapas abaixo podem ser concluídas em qualquer ordem.

Vá até Sundara (…:aqui) e diga Hi - Yukti.

The gestures still work, but the flow of magic no longer follows them as reliably as before. ... Sundara: Some spells unfold with a delay, others differently than they should. As if a foreign power influences the currents of magic and throws them off balance. ... Sundara: These disturbances have been occurring since the night when that pale light fell from the sky in the east. ... Sundara: I cannot say exactly what happened. But something seems to be affecting the magic itself.

Sundara confirma que os yukti, gestos utilizados pelos nagas para canalizar magia, passaram a apresentar um comportamento imprevisível. Segundo ela, alguns feitiços exigem mais energia, enquanto outros produzem efeitos diferentes do esperado, como se uma força desconhecida estivesse interferindo nas correntes mágicas de Marapur.

Embora ainda não consiga explicar a causa do fenômeno, Sundara confirma que as alterações começaram logo após a misteriosa luz ser vista caindo do céu.

Vá até Tarisu e diga Hi - Tides.

Look out for any irregularities. ... Tarisu :If the tides really are disturbed, the instrument will show it.

Tarisu acredita que até mesmo as marés foram afetadas. Para confirmar essa hipótese, ele entrega uma Shell Gauge, instrumento capaz de medir alterações nas correntes marítimas.

Utilize a Shell Gauge nos três Tide Markers:

• 33901,32839,7:1aqui - You measure the water level carefully. The tide seems slightly off, but still within a natural range.
• 33907,32784,7:1aqui - You measure the water level carefully. The tide seems slightly off, but still within a natural range.
• 33900,32765,7:1aqui - You measure the water level carefully. The gauge begins to vibrate faintly. For a brief moment, a pale shimmer flickers in the water, drifting northwards.

Ao utilizar a Shell Gauge nos três pontos indicados, apenas a última medição revela uma anomalia significativa. Um brilho prateado surge na água e segue em direção ao norte, indicando que realmente existe uma perturbação nas marés da região.

Plants Hint

Vá até Dhira (33726,32861,7:2aqui) e diga Hi - Moon - Plants.

Jogador: Hi Dhira: Greetings, two-leg. Jogador: Moon Dhira: Even the beavers feel it. They grow restless when the moon rises. Jogador: Plants Dhira: Strange things about plants? Hmm, perhaps. I spend a lot of time out here with the beavers. ... Dhira:Sometimes, despite the dangers posed by parders and jungle moas, I venture into the Sparkling Lagoon to gather special food plants for my wards. ... Dhira: And on my last visit there, just recently, I saw that some of the plants had changed. Their leaves have a strange, almost silvery sheen. ... Dhira: I'm no scholar, but I can see when something's wrong with the plants. Take a look for yourself, maybe you'll notice more than I did. ... Dhira:The affected plants I've discovered are tide veil and whisper reed. You should take a sample of each and examine them at the laboratory here in Silvertides.

Dhira explica que algumas plantas da Sparkling Lagoon começaram a apresentar características incomuns após a queda da misteriosa luz. Para confirmar suas suspeitas, ela pede que você colete duas amostras e as analise no laboratório de Silvertides.

Colete usando o canivete:

Depois vá até o laboratório (33775,32854,7:2aqui) e utilize as amostras no Refiner of Magic

Após analisar as duas amostras, fica evidente que ambas foram contaminadas por uma energia desconhecida de origem lunar. As alterações observadas confirmam que a vegetação da região também foi afetada pelo mesmo fenômeno investigado por Saraki.

Return to Saraki

Após concluir as três investigações, volte até Saraki e diga Hi - Moon.

Saraki: Greetings, traveller. May the Moon Goddess bless you. Jogador: Moon Saraki: Interesting. The yukti are behaving unpredictably, and on top of that there are silver veins in the plants and shifts in the tides. This is no coincidence. ... Saraki: Such a change does not arise out of nowhere. A new source of power must have appeared in Marapur. If anyone has seen exactly where the light fell from the sky, it has to be Udu. ... Saraki: Our astronomer observes the movements of the stars every night from her tower. She will know where the light came down. Go and ask her about it. ... Saraki: If we know where this light touched the earth, we can hopefully finally understand what we are dealing with.

Com as evidências reunidas, torna-se claro que os três fenômenos estão relacionados. A instabilidade dos ‘‘yukti’’, as alterações nas plantas e o comportamento incomum das marés indicam que uma nova fonte de poder surgiu em Marapur.

Convencida de que a misteriosa luz é a origem desses acontecimentos, Saraki pede que você procure a astrônoma Udu, a única pessoa que pode indicar exatamente onde o objeto caiu.

It fell into the sea east of Marapur, at the Emerald Gardens. ... 'Udu :I even saw the moment of impact: a brief flash, then nothing but mist over the water. ... 'Udu :So if you're looking for a source of your strange tides, altered plants and nervous yukti, that's exactly where I would start. Something from the sky now lies off our coast. ... 'Udu :And if my instincts are correct, this fragment carries within it a part of the moon's power.

Udu confirma ter presenciado a queda do fragmento lunar e informa que ele atingiu o mar na região do Emerald Gardens. Segundo ela, todas as alterações observadas em Marapur provavelmente tiveram início naquele local.

Siga até 33883,32656,7:2aqui e investigue a cratera. Ao chegar, você receberá a mensagem informando que um enorme objeto caiu naquele ponto.

Sharai explica que existe um antigo complexo escondido sob a cratera, porém sua entrada principal está inacessível. Ela revela a localização de um túnel secreto escondido sob um monte de pedras marcadas com runas prateadas.

Siga até 33894,32713,7:2aqui, entre no túnel e caminhe até encontrar uma grande porta de pedra. Ao tentar abri-la você ouvirá uma voz chamando pela porta à esquerda.

Javala revela que diferentes facções de asuri disputam o controle do Moonsilver, um minério formado a partir do fragmento lunar. Enquanto as Midnight e Frostflower Asuri pretendem utilizar esse poder para fortalecer seus experimentos, as Dawnfire e Feverbloom desejam impedir que isso aconteça.

Convencida de que seus objetivos são os mesmos, Javala decide confiar em você e entrega uma das poucas chaves capazes de abrir o caminho para os níveis inferiores do complexo, onde a verdadeira investigação da quest continuará.
